Solar energy developer BOOM Power has sold two solar projects with a combined capacity of 110MW to solar PV developer-operator Enray Power.

The first project, the Firsfield Solar Plant, is located to the east of Firsfield in the parish of Bardwell, West Suffolk, and covers approximately 237 hectares of rural land. It will deliver an installed capacity of 71 MWp with export capacity of up to 46.9 MWac and received planning approval from West Suffolk Council in April 2024.

Meanwhile, the second project, the Osgodby Solar Farm in North Yorkshire, located north-east of Osgodby and north-west of Cliffe Common, will cover 166 hectares and generate up to 42.9 MW of low-carbon electricity for the local distribution network over 40 years.

Mark Hogan, founder of BOOM Power, said: “We are incredibly proud to see both Firsfield and Osgodby progressing to the next stage of their journey. These projects embody BOOM Power’s ethos of technical rigor, environmental responsibility and long-term energy impact. Each site represents a tangible contribution to Britain’s clean energy future and a testament to the skill and dedication of our team.”

Arundel, West Sussex-based BOOM Power said the sales support its strategy to develop and approve renewable projects before partnering with companies such as Enray Power for delivery. The name of the company – Build, Own, Operate, Maintain – reflects the entire project model.
