China installed 268 GW of new renewable capacity in the first half of 2025, almost doubled year after year, with solar accounting for 212 GW of the total, says the Nation’s energy planning office.
The National Energy Administration (NEA) said that China added 268 GW to new renewable energy capacity in the first half of 2025, an increase of 99.3% year on year and good for 91.5% of all new power installations. Solar contributed 212 GW of the total 100 GW of projects on Nuts scale and 112 GW from distributed systems-filled by 51.39 GW new wind capacity, 3.93 GW hydropower and 710 MW biomass. By the end of June 2025, the total installed capacity of renewable energy sources had reached 2,159 two, or 59.2% of the total power generation capacity of China. Solar was 1.1 TW, Wind at 573 GW, hydropower at 440 GW and biomass at 47 GW. The generation of solar energy rose by 42.9% years after year to 559.1 TWH, with a national use of 94%, the NEA said.
China Huadian Corp. has launched a 2025-26 centralized purchasing offer for solar modules. The first party comprises 18 GW N-type tunneloxide-passivated contact (topcon) bifacial double glass modules with efficiency above 22.5%. The second plot is looking for 2 GW of high-efficient modules, including Topcon, Heterojunction (HJT) and Back-Contact (BC) technologies, with conversion efficiency above 23.8%. The framework agreement runs until June 30, 2026, or until the next tender round starts.
Golden sun Said it has protected a CNY 100 million ($ 13.76 million) of CINDA Investment administrative debt investment to support daily activities and to increase production for overseas HJT solar orders. The loan has a term of a maximum of two years and an annual interest rate limited by 8%.
The China Non -Ferrous Metal Industry Association (Cnmia) said that the prices of Polysilicon rose somewhat somewhat last week. N-type Recycled material On average CNY 47,100 per ton, an increase of 0.64% compared to the previous week, while a grainy silicon on average CNY 44,300, an increase of 0.68%. The production was recovered to 10 domestic producers, with the output of July 107,800 tons reaching an increase of 5.7% compared to June. The cumulative output from January to July was 704,900 tons, 41.5% year after year. The production of August is expected to rise to around 125,000 tons.
The CNMIA Separately said that the prices of the wafer continued to rise, with N-type G10L waffles (182 mm × 183.75 mm/130 μm) on average CNY 1.10 each, an increase of 4.76%. G12R waffles (182 mm x 210 mm/130 μm) Rin 8.70% to CNY 1.25, while G12 waffles (210 mm x 210 mm/130 μm) increased 6.67% to CNY 1.44. The business percentages in the waffle industry remained stable. Downstream, solar price prices CNY 0.02 climbed between CNY 0.26/W and CNY 0.27/W, and modules rose CNY 0.01 to between CNY 0.66 and CNY 0.67. Although the recent increase in pressure on the producers of the wafer has facilitated, future prices will depend on how many costs in the costs of electric buyers can absorb, the CNMIa said.
