China fights the export of curbs on some battery technologies

China has tightened the export restrictions on certain technologies for battery materials on Tuesday, while Beijing extends in the emerging sector in spite of his trade war with the United States.

The two economic super powers have traded this year due to export parties, whereby Washington in particular increases the threshold for selling high-end semiconductors to China.

The government of US President Donald Trump has also accused Beijing of obstructing the export of rare earths in retribution against major rates that it has imposed on Chinese goods.

The Ministry Van Beijing commerce announced various adjustments on Tuesday to a list of technologies that are subject to export parties.

It was marked as a “limited” a technology for preparing battery catthole materials, which means that it cannot be exported without special permission.

The ministry has also added five “checkpoints” to an already limited non-ferrometallurgy technology involved in lithium extraction and refining.

“This adjustment … is aimed at protecting national economic and development interests and promoting international economic and technological cooperation,” the ministry said.

China leads the world in the production of lithium-ion batteries used to provide electric vehicles with electricity-a different sector in which it is an important player.

His alleged soft peding about the export of rare Earth-crucial materials for making electronics and other goods when the United States brought up to date with the export of advanced artificial intelligence (AI) chips to China.

Beijing received a modest boost in that area on Tuesday when the American tech giant Nvidia said it was expected to get a license to sell one of his less powerful AI chips to the Asian nation.
