T1 Energy has signed an agreement with Corning for domestic delivery of silicon waffles for the production of solar panel. Corning Solar Wafers made in Michigan are sent to the solar ececture facility of T1 in Austin, Texas, which will then be assembled in solar panels in the Dallas factory of T1.

Corning’s Solar Wafer Factory is currently under construction in Hemlock, Michigan. The site will use Polysilicon from the nearby semiconductor of Hemlock. The delivery agreement with T1 is expected to start in the second half of 2026.

Corning has also signed an agreement to deliver waffles to Suniva, which will then make cells for heliees. In addition, Corning bought a solar panel -assembly factory in Phoenix from Ja Solar and the site operates under the name “American Panel Solutions (AMPS).” There has been no confirmation about which cells are supplied to that plant.

“Corning is proud to meet the growing need for solar products made in the United States,” said Ab Ghosh, Corning VP and general manager of Zonne Energy and chairman and CEO of Hemlock Semiconductor. “We accelerate the slope of our advanced production options in support of a resilient American solar supply chain. Our agreement with T1 underlines the strong demand for high-quality, American-made sun technologies. By building fundamental infrastructure in Michigan, we add to well-paid productions of the American solar industry, the strengthening of the American Solar industry. Energy-in-in-in-signal-coming for the country. “

The Austin Cell Factory from T1 is expected to start production in 2026. The panel factory of the company in Dallas has been in operation for the past two years, first under the Trinasolar name.
