CS Energy Commissions Three Tesla Megapack Bess projects in New York

CS Energy And Calibrant Energy completed a portfolio of three stand-alone battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Westchester County, New York. These projects, located in the cities of Hawthorne, Yorktown and Ossining, contain Tesla’s Megapack2XL technology, with 4.9 MW, 4.2 MW and 4.3 MW respectively. The systems offer essential grid support during peak and seasonal demand periods, which strengthens the resilience of the energy infrastructure of New York.

Each site formed unique challenges: the Highland project on St. Augustine’s Church and School Campus, Broadway on the ownership of the local church and Gomer on private ownership behind the garage of a technician. These locations required deliveries of planning equipment around school activities, festivals and community activities.

“These projects show the expertise of CS Energy in overcoming logistics challenges to offer impactful energy solutions,” said Vyacheslav Gofshteyn, project manager at CS Energy. “Accurate coordination with Tesla, owners of real estate and third-party stakeholders have helped us to successfully navigate with unique site limitations and delivery schedules, in particular at the St. Augustine School-Campus and local ecclesiastical property.”
