Local leaders cut the ribbon from the new Solar project on the roof. Dimension -Energy

On September 24, Dimension Energy celebrated the big opening of the largest community project in the community in Union Township, New Jersey.

In the midst of an energy cost crisis in New Jersey, the new 3.12 MW Community Solar project on the roof will be 750 Union Ave. Saving more than 450 households, on average $ 900/years on their energy bills.

The portfolio of Dimension of 29 community projects on the community on warehouse roofs in the entire state will offer affordable energy for 10,000 New Jersey households by the end of this year, largely thanks to the registration partnerships with municipalities such as the Township of Union and local partners such as the United Passaic Organization.

“With the electricity rate increases up to 20% for residents of New Jersey, Dimension is proud to collaborate with the municipality of Union and partners in the entire state to bring a cheap energy choice for thousands of Garden State,” said Dimension Energy Chief Development Officer and co-founder Sam Younes. “By working hand in hand with local and national partners, we can use existing infrastructure and generate cheap electricity where it is needed as quickly as possible to save money on their energy bills, open the doors for well-paid local solar jobs and delivering economic benefits for the coming years.”

Community Solar has the advantage that they develop rapidly, and it is cheaper for subscribers than other energy options. Recently, under the leadership of Governor Murphy, the Board of Public Utilities (BPU) has been commissioned to allow 3,000 MW of the new community capacity of the community in October, which greatly expands access to affordable energy throughout the state.

“At a time when we hear from voters everywhere in the state who are concerned about rising energy costs, these are such programs that help local residents, in particular households with a low to moderate income, to save money for their families,” said State Senator Joseph Cryan (D-20).
