The American manufacturer Ecoflow has introduced a 6 kWh residential battery and backup system on the Australian market, which is being expanded to 30 kWh.
Ecoflow said that the Delta Pro Ultra is a stackable power plant of the next generation that is built to serve as an entire home battery generator and backup power system designed for both daily energy consumption and extended malfunctions.
A single Delta unit offers 6 kWh capacity and 6,900 w output, and several units can be stacked to offer up to 30 kWh capacity. The company said that the Delta Pro Ultra has a solar -input of 5.6 kW and integrates with both existing solar systems on the roof and flexible solar panels. In addition to solar energy, the battery can be charged via AC power and gas generators with Ecoflow that a single battery can reach 80% in less than 75 minutes.
The battery has lithium-ferrous phosphate (LFP) chemistry that Ecoflow said that it has been designed for more than 10 years of daily use, which means that 3,500 discharge cycles are possible before it reaches 80% of the original capacity.
Ecoflow said that the system can be managed remotely via its online app and the UPS from the company offers automatic switch, which guarantees an uninterrupted power supply.
“The Delta Pro Ultra offers a reliable electricity solution during blackouts or as a backup,” said Ecoflow. “It is also a valuable security for small companies that cannot afford downtime, and a smart investment for owners of solar systems who want to store surplus energy and reduce electricity accounts.”
The battery measures 660 mm x 455 mm x 204 mm and weighs 52.7 kg. The inverter measures 690 mm x 481 mm x 214 mm and weighs 32.1 kg. Ecoflow said that the modular, stackable design means that no wall mounting is required.
The Ecoflow Delta Pro Ultra Core bundle, consisting of one battery unit and a inverter, costs Aud 7,598 ($ 4,932).
