Another EDPR after DG project.

EDPR na Distributed Generation, the distributed generation of business or EDP Renewables North America, and California Water Service have signed a 20-year PPA for a 2.35 MWDC Onsite Solar Array in the northeastern Bakersfield installation installation of Cal Water. The collaboration is designed to reduce the long -term footprint of the utility.

Cal Water and EDPR NA DG expect the system to generate around 3,800 MWh of renewable energy annually. The renewable energy generated by the Zonne -Array is expected to reduce the energy costs of the network by around $ 1.7 million over the term of the agreement, based on the current electric rates for customers in the Bakersfield District, one of the largest service areas of CAL Water.

“At Cal Water we are dedicated to be a responsible environmental manager, and collaborate with EDPR NA DG will help us to lower traditional energy costs, to achieve our science-tailored goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and to increase sustainability,” said Marty Kropelnicki, Cal Water Chairman and Ceo. “We look forward to bringing this new Onsite Zonne -Array online, which is an important step for us to continue to offer our customers a safe, reliable and affordable water service for decades.”
