Peter Greenberg, owner of Energywise Services In Oregon, has been in the solar industry since 2010. A former firefighter has struggled Greenberg with the unreliability of electronics at module level. This is why he chose to pursue an UL 3741-compliant system for the HUB City Village community center-a small home community for the restless or housing tables in Albany, Oregon.

That system: Pegasus Solar Racking, Midnite Solar’s 12a string-level fast closing device and Solis 11.4 kW S6 Hybrid inverter. The system also has 30 410W et sun modules.

“The convenience when installing only 1 RSD per string is a total game change party,” said Greenberg. “It saves time and offers the flexibility when placing. Most products nowadays have MC4s, which limit us with jumpers and have to add connectors. This streamlines the total installation, saves liability and ultimately costs. Going back to a job when a single RSD or Optimizer fails, and the time needed to solve those problems is important for a small company like me. ”

Individual fast closing boxes have been examined in the past, especially when it comes to ensuring that they all function properly and offer the intended safety measures. In addition to the possibility to perform an UL 3741 system, Greenberg advised the possibility and flexibility to add capacity and batteries with the Solis Hybrid later, was a huge advantage.

The mission of Hub City Village is to build up self -management homes that honor dignity and growth, supported by the community. Started by a group of residents of Albany, their goal to create even more self -sufficient villages to continue to honor and build the community of the community. This first community is completely self-sufficient, with the UL3741 installation in their community center and an extra carport for parking guests with Solis’ 1P-roster-bound units.
