UK Power Producer Enviromena has taken over a fully permitted Solar PV factory of 30 MW from the Luxembourg-based reinfrastructure opportunities Holding S.à.rl

The 30 MW Steeraway Solar Farm, in Shropshire, is planned to start construction this year, after he received planning in May 2023 in May 2023, proposed by the development of RE projects. A grid connection is aimed at 2026.

Steeraway received a contract for difference (CFD) in award round 6 (AR6), so that the development provided an index-linked income flow for 15 years. From the next seventh auction of renewable energy sources, 20-year contracts will be granted, under Changes recently confirmed by the British government.

Chris March, the CEO of Enviromena, said: “This acquisition is another important milestone in our mission to deliver a large portfolio of ground sun sun in the UK.

“By offering price security for the next 15 years, the CFD contract is very similar to the dedication of Enviromena to develop sustainable investments in the long-term infrastructure.”

According to Enviromena, the acquisition of the holding of the holding, which is managed by Re: Cap Global Investors AG, based in Switzerland, shows the ability of the company to handle the world phase.

Nils Hammon, managing director at RE: CAP, explained: “When developing the site, we ensured full compliance with all environmental rules, taking measures to protect local biodiversity and minimize the impact of the landscape, making the project not only sustainable, but also respectful for the surrounding community and natural environment.”

Site plans include continuous agricultural grazing as soon as the solar PV mounted on the ground is operational, as well as biodiversity improvement measures, which results in a net profit of biodiversity in habitats of 97% and hedgerows 55%.
