Germany head office Solar Services Provider Greencells Group has achieved its position on the British market through two contracts with Enray Power.

The GreenCells Group offers Engineering, Purchasing and Contraction (EPC) Services and Operations and Maintenance (R&M) for the 68.5 MWp Solar Energy Center of the British Energy Company together with a 24MWH Battery Energy Storage System (Bess).

The Camblesforth Solar Farm is Enray Power’s first co-located Bess and PV Asset and is near Selby in North Yorkshire. GreenCells said that the integration of the 2-hour duration Bess underlines the ability of the EPC company to deliver smart, system-based solutions.

It also said that the currency integration will increase the network value of the project and the long-term performance.

Greencells, which specializes in large-scale solar PV, came to the British market in 2014 and has since supplied nearly 50 projects with a total installed capacity of more than 500 MWp. The capacity of more than 3.2 GW has installed worldwide.

Enray Power CEO Philip Price met GreenCells CEO Fabian Herr at Intersolar Europe to complete the deal. Herr was appointed CEO in March of this year, after he had previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Iqony Solar Energy Solutions (SENS).

Senior debt financing for the Camblesforth PV project was agreed earlier this month with the Dutch Bank Rabobank, who recently committed financing to the solar development food of Aukera Energy. The agreement with Rabobank is based on multiple facilities and will make the delivery of the project possible in total, without investments from third parties.

Enray was founded in 2020 and is supported by Omnes Capital, a private equity company that focuses on the energy transition, which is the majority of the company. Enray Power develops, possesses and operates renewable energy assets and strives to become a leading independent power producer (IPP) in the UK.

It has a 1.5 GW pipeline of advanced stage solar and storage projects. Currently, the only project under construction is the Camblesforth Solar Farm.

Enray also cooperates with financial advisers Akereos Capital, who offered services for debt advice, book ringing and structuring services. Akereos also arranged the Power Contracting Agreement (PPA) and Bess optimization agreements with a “leading multinational organization”.

The company cannot make any more detail public about the transactions, Solar -Energy Portal heard.
