Honeywell has introduced Honeywell IONIC, designed a compact, modular battery energy storage system (BESS) for the commercial and industrial segment. The system has a stand-alone lithium-ion battery housing, scalable from 250 kWh to 5 MWh.

Honeywell IONIC integrates flexible battery storage with the company’s advanced control and energy management system. It is designed to lower energy costs, absorb demand fluctuations to support the stability of the schedule and to offer backup power.

The control software includes ISA Secure 2 -Cyber’s security, protecting users and reducing risks against potential network threats.

“Nowadays, organizations of every size are under increasing pressure to use energy more effectively, while at the same time reliability and cost -effectiveness are guaranteed,” said Jim Masso, president of Honeywell Process Solutions. “Honeywell Ionic enables companies to navigate these challenges and at the same time achieve their energy goals by supplying a complete energy automation system that is built on the latest Lithium-ion technology. Accepting autonomous solutions can be crucial for companies to manage energy foods and ultimately to optimize energy sources.”

Honeywell Ionic is available worldwide. Customers can choose from fully integrated on -site energy storage systems or tailor -made agreements managed by Honeywell through his external Operations Center.
