Indosolar starts production in a 1.3 GW solar module factory

Indosolar, a subsidiary of Waaree Energies, has started production at its new 1.3 GW solar panel manufacturing facility in India.

Indosolar, a subsidiary of Waaree Energies, has opened a solar panel manufacturing facility in Noida, India. The 1.30 GW factory uses energy-efficient processes.

“This new factory embodies our commitment to advancing solar technology and promoting sustainability,” said Hitesh Doshi, Chairman and CEO of Indosolar. “Through our manufacturing processes and the expertise of our dedicated team, we aim to advance India’s sustainable energy agenda while creating employment opportunities for the local community. Furthermore, this facility is expected to help meet the rising demand for high-quality solar panels across the country.”

Founded in 1990, Waaree Energies is India’s largest PV module manufacturer, with a total installed capacity of 12 GW as of June 30, 2023. It commenced operations in 2007 by focusing on PV module manufacturing.
