Innova Renewables has established Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for 61 MW of solar capacity in the United Kingdom in a deal with energy trade and service company Electroroute. Thanks to the PPAs, Electoroute will offer route-to-market and trading services for three solar projects in Great Britain.

The 15-year-old PPAs cover projects that are owned by a joint venture between Innova and Renewables Investor Schroders Greencat, according to a press release. All three projects also have the support of the State secured by the contracts of the British government for Difference (CFD) Support Mechanism (CFD) and Electroroute said that the PPAs are structured to adapt to these similarities.

The Electroroute Offtake agreements follow in February 2025 from Innova that it had secured a 40-year PPA for solar projects in Wales. Two solar and storage projects in development near Wrexham, Noord -Wales, will supply the electricity to Welsh Water (DWR Cymru) under the purchase agreement.

Andrew Peyman, head of energy sales at Innova Renewables, said that the Electroroute deal was completed in a “relatively short period”, which was “testament of the collaboration approach of both companies.”

Brian Kennedy, Chief Commercial Officer at Electroroute, said that the collaboration with Innova “Underlords the renewable sector with innovative and reliable trade solutions” underlines.

Innova currently has more than 40 distribution and transmission-connected sites that are under development or in operation in the United Kingdom, with combined capacity for solar and energy storage of more than 8 GW of asset conditions. Electoroute is a subsidiary of the Mitsubishi Corporation that offers energy trade and services on international markets.
