Janta Power supplies solar energy to FIFA World Cup Fan Festivals in Texas

Dallas energy supplier Janta power made a name for itself at the FIFA World Cup 2026says the company, which provides power to fan gatherings in Dallas and Houston with its three-dimensional solar tower systems.

The world’s biggest sporting tournament ended on July 19, with Spain securing its second World Cup fixture with a 1-0 win over Argentina. Along the way, both finalists played at least one game at the Dallas Metroplex’s AT&T Stadium, one of the venues equipped with Janta’s solar towers.

Janta Power founder and CEO Mohammed Njie says the World Cup is “more than a sporting event” as the international spectacle has become an energy-consuming empire. That level of electricity demand makes the tournament a testing ground for energy infrastructure, he says.

“By delivering clean, quiet power in days instead of months, we demonstrate that renewable energy can be delivered where it is needed most, without sacrificing speed, reliability or performance,” says Njie. “Whether powering a global event, an AI data center, an airport or a community, our mission is the same: to make clean, affordable and reliable energy quickly available where people need it.”

Janta’s moment came at official FIFA Fan Festivals, the company says, where FIFA’s governing body called on the company to install solar towers in both Dallas and Houston. The installations demonstrated “a new model for energy installations that simplifies procurement logistics and aligns with compressed operational timelines.”

The Dallas-based installation, located in Fair Park, consisted of four JP5K solar towers, complete with 28 kWh battery systems. The towers served as a temporary energy source throughout the festival, generating up to 275 kWh per day for the event infrastructure, and could be demolished.

Janta Power’s facility in Houston is a much more permanent fixture in southeast Texas, the company says. The tower and battery system, located in East Downtown Houston, will now remain a permanent fixture, the company says, purchased to power public facilities and community events for the next 25 years.

The Janta towers are designed to generate up to 50% more power than traditional flat panel systems, while using only a third of the land area thanks to their vertical arrangement. The vertical design and integrated tracking system can capture sunlight all day long and produce a ‘dual-peak power curve’ during times of high demand, Janta says.

“Reliable power is a constant logistical consideration at festivals and large-scale events, so solutions that simplify implementation can have a real operational impact,” said Skye Fabrizio, sustainability manager for event management company C3 Presents. “Janta’s towers were installed quickly, required minimal space compared to standard solar installations and provided quiet, reliable power right on site.

“Having seen the technology in action, I see meaningful potential for its use in a much wider range of live events and temporary installations.”

The company’s installations for the FIFA World Cup festivities “build on Janta’s growing commercial applications,” company representatives said. Pilot programs are already underway at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and Munich International Airport, the company says.
