Solar panel company LONGi has launched its latest design, the Hi-Mo

An agreement was reached on the wafer size M11 six manufacturers by 2023 — Canadian Solar, Chint (Astronergy), DAS Solar, LONGi, Risen Energy and Tongwei. The new rectangular wafer has a diagonal of 262.5 mm and will be standardized for 72-cell panels. LONGi’s new Hi-Mo X6 Max module is 2,382 x 1,134 mm (94 x 45 inches). The company’s previous modules that used M10 wafers were about 4 inches shorter in length.

No other details were provided about the power or efficiency of the new solar panel.

The Hi-Mo X6 Max modules are the first to feature LONGi’s “TaiRay” wafer with hybrid passivated back contact (HPBC) cell technology. The modules are now in mass production and should become LONGi’s mainstream product by the third quarter of this year.
