Gamme Telco has launched an all-aluminium solar carport that is compatible with almost all standard PV modules and is customizable in size and color. The system offers concealed wiring, integrated stormwater management and scalable configurations for residential and commercial use.

Gamme Telco, part of French pergola manufacturer Group Mitjavila, has introduced a new solar carport for residential and commercial applications.

The Electra Design 3 carport is compatible with almost all conventional solar panels. “No special modules are needed, because we adapt the structure to 99% of the panels available on the market, usually between 30 mm and 35 mm thick,” said the company’s president, Frédéric Arpin, pv magazine. “The dimensions are flexible. We tailor the structure to the customer’s modules and, if necessary, cut profiles to size for last-minute custom orders.”

The carport is made entirely of aluminum and manufactured in France. The company designs, extrudes, coats and assembles the systems in-house and delivers them ready for installation. Although most sales take place in France, the product is distributed throughout Europe.

Rainwater is collected and channeled through the poles, and all cabling is concealed with integrated bezel systems for a sleek, streamlined finish, the company said.

“Assembly is very simple and supported by clear instructions, similar to assembling Ikea-style furniture,” says Arpin. Multiple sizes are available, including large models that can accommodate up to 30 photovoltaic panels of 500W each and accommodate up to four vehicles. Larger surfaces can be covered by combining multiple units.

“Bifacial panels can also be used, and they are becoming increasingly popular among our customers for both aesthetic and performance reasons,” Arpin added. Customers can select the color of the structure; anthracite gray is the standard and most requested option, but all RAL colors are available.

The system is designed for modules installed mainly in upright orientation, with a slight built-in slope of approximately 4 cm to ensure effective water drainage through the posts.

Both the carport and pergola versions are available as a îlot (free-standing) or adossé (lean-to) configuration, with the drain integrated into the posts in both cases. The aluminum frame is fully recyclable and backed by a 5-year warranty.
