The New York Blower Company announced that it made the switch to solar energy in its new castle, Pennsylvania, factory with the help of the Pennsylvania Solar Center’s Get Solar ProgramThis free technical assistance and financial guidance offers companies and organizations that are looking for solar energy. Earlier this year, the group expanded its efforts for technical assistance.

“The New York Blower Company is proud of the vision and dedication to make the transition to solar energy, and we look forward to exploiting our first fully sustainable production facility,” said Tim Daniels, VP of Finance for NYB. “The rising variability in energy costs has added additional complexities to how we work. By investing in renewable energy, we ensure that stability in our energy costs for the next generation of stakeholders in New York Blower.”

The 583-KW solar system was installed by the local contractor Solar on the roof of the Pennsylvania production facility in New York Blower and is expected to compensate for 100% of the annual energy consumption of the facility. Requirement Solar estimates the system will save the company almost $ 541,000 in the next 10 years.

“In recent years, electricity costs have risen with an uncontrollable rate, which can greatly influence the bottom line of large companies such as New York Blower,” said Joe Morinville, president of Eis Solar. “We congratulate NYB on taking action to reduce their expenses and by having the foresight to take their energy costs into their own hands.”
