Poland added 637 MW Solar during Q1 – PV Magazine International

The solar capacity of Poland was approaching 22 GW at the end of March, according to figures from the Institute of Renewable Energy in the country. There are currently 532 solar projects with a capacity of 950 MW with valid building permits.

Participation in the auction of this month’s renewable energy in Poland is limited to projects that have already obtained building permits.

Wiśniewski added that the photovoltaic industry of Poland is currently aimed at large projects, in particular those larger than 50 MW.

One of the recommendations for the solar industry of Poland described in the IEO report combines the development of solar energy with the heating sector as a flexible consumer of solar energy, where dynamic rates are implemented for all energy consumers and investments in solar energy with solar energy Wind and battery storage facilities.
