Indian Integrated Solar Cell and Module Manufacturer Premier Energies Limited is a joint venture agreement concluded with Taiwan’s Sino-American Silicon Products Inc (Sas) For a 2 GW factory for solar wafers.

Premier Energies has a 74% interest in the agreement, whereby SAS approves the other 26%.
Chiranjeev Saluja, Premier Energies Managing Director, said that the agreement marks the start of the backward integration of the company in solar waffles. “The joint venture will play a crucial role in strengthening the make-in-India policy initiative of the Indian government,” Saluja added.
