Renew, a Nasdaq-listed Carbonization Solutions Company in India, has launched its 1.3 GWP sun project in Jaisalmer District, Rajasthan. The project was inaugurated by Minister of New and Renewable Energie Pralhad Joshi and Bhajan Lal Sharma, the main minister of Rajasthan.

The project has renewed solar panels, with 90% of it manufactured in the Jaipur factory of the company. It will supply electricity to Rajasthan consumers at a competitive rate of INR 2.18/kWh.

The project – about 3,500 hectares in different villages, including Rampuriya, Bhinajpura, Hastinapur and Masuriya in the administrative areas of Jaisalmer and Bhaniyana – it is expected to generate 2,490 million units per year. This will meet the energy needs of around 500,000 households in Rajasthan and compensate for approximately 2.3 million tonnes of CO2 emissions every year. Local communities receive 25 years of fixed -income income from land lease agreements for their non -cultivated country.

“The inauguration of this nearly 1.3 GWP-Zonne site in Jaisalmer, fully built with in-India modules-90% of those made here in Rajasthan-Is a radiant example of contributions to Atmanirbhar Bharat [self-reliant India]”Said Joshi.

Renew Chairman and CEO Sumant Sinha noted that Rajasthan was crucial for the growth of the company, with almost 5 GW of his total operational capacity based in the state and investments that exceed INR 210 billion. He also said that Renew’s 4 GW Solar Module production facility in Jaipur is underlined its long-term obligation for the Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India)).
