Runergy joins Silfab and Heliene as U.S. solar panel installers agreeing to purchase glass from SolarCycle. SolarCycle will also recycle Runergy panels at its recycling facilities in the United States.

Runergy just commissioned its 2 GW solar panel manufacturing plant in Alabama, and the company has signed for 4 GW (30 million m2).2) of SolarCycle’s domestically manufactured glass over a 5-year period. SolarCycle is currently building a glass factory in Georgia that uses recycled solar panels.

“We are excited to work with SolarCycle to improve the sustainability and efficiency of our manufacturing process,” said Dr. Jusong Wang, Managing Director at Runergy Alabama Inc. “This partnership not only reinforces our commitment to reducing our environmental footprint, but also ensures our products have a more sustainable life cycle, from manufacturing to recycling for the U.S.”

Suvi Sharma, CEO and co-founder of SolarCycle, added: “Our mission is to build greater sustainability and scalability for the solar supply chain, and this partnership with Runergy helps us accelerate that mission. We look forward to working with the Runergy team to help grow solar energy in America, create good, family-friendly local jobs and reduce carbon emissions throughout the supply chain.”
