Consulting firm Falkensteg has been commissioned to carry out an international sales process of bankrupt German microinverter manufacturer Solarnative.

“Solarnative has developed a good market position. With the right investment, the company can fully realize its potential and successfully open the market for roof systems,” said Solarnative’s provisional liquidator, Jan Markus Plathner from law firm Brinkmann & Partner.

He sees the sale process as a good opportunity to restructure and continue the company’s activities. According to him, the first conversations with customers and suppliers are promising.

Solarnative has so far concentrated on the market for balcony PV systems, but also wants to become active in the residential PV segment.

Founded in 2019, the company currently employs 103 people, 45 of whom are in production. It operates a production facility in Hofheim, near Frankfurt am Main. 50,000 microinverters can be produced there every month. According to the company, the company also has a stock of electronic components worth approximately €4 million and several thousand pre-manufactured inverters. The business activities currently continue despite bankruptcy.

“I am confident that with the right support, Solarnative can not only survive, but also expand globally,” said Julian Mattheis, Managing Director of Solarnative. However, it must be done quickly. “We are at a crucial turning point. To successfully bring the world’s smallest photovoltaic inverter to the rooftop market, we need a solution.”
