The Chinese manufacturer said its new Nex E6000 and Nex E6000H storage systems combine a 6 kWh battery, an inverter and an integrated energy management system, with a scalable design that allows multiple units to be linked for higher capacity and coordinated energy sharing.

Chinese energy storage supplier Samduo, part of Shenzhen-based manufacturer Hubei Yixing Intelligent Equipment, has launched two new battery lines for residential applications at the Solar Solutions International fair in the Netherlands.

The company said the Nex E6000 and Nex E6000H series will go on sale in Europe from May.

“The Netherlands is preparing to phase out net metering by 2027, which will see approximately 500,000 households switch to digital meters,” the company said in a statement. “Meanwhile, increasing incentives, including VAT exemptions in Germany, are expected to further accelerate demand for AC-coupled, plug-in solar storage solutions.”

Both models are AC-coupled, eliminating the need for direct DC connections to PV arrays, and support plug-and-play installation, which Samduo describes as a key benefit for renovations and balcony-oriented living spaces.

The Nex E6000 integrates a 6 kWh lithium-ion battery, a battery management system (BMS) and an inverter into an ultra-slim unit just 11.9 cm deep. It reportedly supports up to 8,000 life cycles and delivers 2,600W bi-directional fast charging, enabling efficient energy storage and discharge for daily use and peak shaving applications, according to the manufacturer.

The Nex E6000H expands home energy management capabilities with ultra-fast one-minute installation and a smart energy management system, which enables networked energy sharing and coordination across up to 15 devices, totaling 90 kWh, through a single hub.

Both systems are IP65 certified and support Open API integration with popular European smart home and energy platforms such as Shelly, HomeWizard and EverHome, Samduo added.

The company claims the systems can deliver an estimated annual savings of €562.30 ($648.50) based on a 4 kW residential PV array paired with a 6.03 kWh battery, assuming typical mid-latitude European solar conditions.

Under these assumptions, a 4 kW PV system would generate approximately 16 kWh per day, or 5,840 kWh per year. With a usable battery capacity of 5.43 kWh and assuming a 90% discharge depth, the storage system could supply approximately 1,980 kWh of energy per year. In this scenario, the base rate of self-PV consumption without storage is 35%, increasing to 75% with battery installed.
