SMA America is expanding his large-scale storage portfolio with the Sunny Central Storage Up-S Battery Inverter, now available in the US.

Designed for large-scale energy storage projects, it has advanced silicon carbide sic mosfet (silicon carbide metal-oxide-oxide-half-guide transistor) technology for superior power-conversion efficiency and scheduling-forming possibilities. After a successful launch in Australia, this solution was established to support raster stability and energy transition efforts on the American market.

“As large -scale energy storage becomes an increasingly critical part of the modernization of the schedule, utilities and developers need solutions that maximize efficiency, reduce costs and improve scheduling stability,” said Jay Arghestani, director of large -scale sales, technology and marketing for SMA America. “The new Sunny Central Storage Up-S supplies on all fronts and combines advanced SIC MOSFET technology with advanced scheduling possibilities to support powerful, scalable storage projects.”

SIC MOSFET technology reduces energy loss, improves the efficiency of the power conversion and makes full capacity functioning in scheduling applications. These innovations maximize the ability, increasing profitability for developers and operators and reduce infrastructure and maintenance costs.

The most important features of the Sunny Central Storage Up-S are:

  • Up to 4,600 kVA without a power supplyer at 35c / 95F with maximum energy yield
  • More than 99.2% efficiency, with innovative SIC MOSFET technology
  • Higher efficiency reduces the requirements of the battery capacity or increases the energy yield with the same capacity, which reduces the Capex on both inverters and batteries. Fewer inverters and batteries mean lower total system costs.
  • Offers dynamic grid support, even during peak demand
  • Robust Power Stack -Topology makes an excellent Foutrit possible through possibilities
  • Optimized thermal management in every environment with the Opticool ™ Air Cooling System
  • Inverter-based inertia and improved short-circuit ratios, which provide reliable power during malfunctions and stabilizing grilles
  • Overload options for available scheduling applications
  • Minimized harmonic emissions, making compatibility possible with even the most challenging raster conditions
  • Makes fast, decentralized raster recovery possible and protects the energy supply during malfunctions
