Solar Fabrik has developed a red-brown solar panel, designed for use on historic buildings and in protected heritage areas where strict aesthetic requirements apply.

The module “Mono S4 Halfcut Chroma Orange” is a colored panel intended to be combined with traditional red tiled roofs. The company mentions an efficiency of 20.02% and a power of 400 W. It is a bifacial monocrystalline n-type glass-glass module with 96 half-cells with tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon), with dimensions of 1,762 mm x 1,134 mm x 30 mm and a weight of approximately 24 kg.

The front glass is a 2mm copper red pane, similar to RAL 8004 and provided with an anti-reflective coating, while the aluminum frame is also color matched to a similar shade (RAL 8011). The module is rated for a maximum system voltage of 1,500 V and operates at temperatures from −40 C to 85 C, with a power temperature coefficient of −0.29% per degree Celsius.

In terms of durability, the module is designed to withstand hail impacts from ice balls up to 40 mm in diameter at speeds up to 29.2 m/s and snow loads up to 5400 Pa.

Solar Fabrik offers a 30-year product and performance warranty. Shipping to distributors is scheduled for April, but pricing has not yet been announced.
