World of solar energythe premier media outlet for the U.S. solar market and publisher of the annual Top Solar Contractors List, is proud to unveil a new awards program for the U.S. solar and storage industry: Top products presented by World of solar energy. Entries for the first competition are now being accepted online.

“The solar industry is booming with new ideas, and we’re excited to showcase the best in mounting, energy storage, modules and other technology in the 2024 Top Products competition,” said Kelly Pickerel, editor-in-chief of World of solar energy. “In the past, the editors have selected our top products, but this year we are bringing in industry experts to choose the winners. The updated program will bear witness to the huge technological leaps the industry is making every year.”

The Top products 2024 The competition will celebrate the most innovative and important products available to the U.S. solar and storage industries. This competition is judged by industry professionals with experience in all markets, representing the research, product development and installation sectors. The award-winning products are judged on their originality, market promise and benefits for installers and developers.

The Top products 2024 program follows two tracks: residential and large-scale. The product categories are:

  • Solar panels
  • Inverters + power electronics
  • Racking + mounting + tracking
  • Software + Apps
  • Energy storage
  • System balance (BOS)
  • Installation equipment
  • Solar-Plus (items that do not require solar energy or storage to work, but still benefit our industry)

Entries submitted must be new products commercially available in the United States and released since January 1, 2022. After the initial awards campaign, new products are limited to products released in the previous calendar year. The registration deadline for the Top products 2024 campaign runs on September 9, 2024, with early bird surcharge. Late registrations, at an increased rate, will be accepted until September 30, 2024.
