SolarEdge Technologies announced that it has become a qualifying battery manufacturer for Pacific Power’s Wattsmart battery program. The new program offers incentives to homeowners and commercial building owners in Washington and Oregon to hire solar batteries. Participants are now able to earn financial incentives by leaving the usefulness to use stored battery energy to support the stability of the grid and reduce the demand for worrying.
According to the program conditions, homeowners who install the DC-linked batteries from SolarEdge can significantly compensate $ 600 per kilowatt to $ 3,000 per battery that in advance when registering. Non -residential customers can earn up to $ 600 per kilowatt, up to 30 kW.
The Pacific Power Wattsmart -battery program builds on the success of similar initiatives in Utah, Idaho and Wyoming, where thousands of Batteries of SolarEdge participate in the local program of Pacific Power, which supports broader resilience of clean energy in the US.
The program provides four important advantages: real-time frequency instructions to balance the grid, peak load management to illuminate the voltage during the hours, circuit congestion lighting by aggregated battery support, while the batteries offer backup power to run houses during malfunctions.
“The Wattsmart battery program is a win-win for both homeowners and the net,” said Marty Rogers, general manager of SolarEdge North America. “Participants can earn a maximum of $ 3,000 per battery while they benefit from our DC-linked architecture, which avoids triple energy conversions to deliver higher efficiency and more usable solar energy. It is a smarter, cleaner and more cost-effective way to maximize backup capacity and savings.”
