Sonnex Energie, based in Germany, is planning to build a non-commercial location in Bangladesh a 500 MW sunscreen factory by 2028.

SonneX Energie is also planning to scale the capacity of the factory to a non -specific Gigawatt scale by 2035. According to the company, the facility will host automated assembly factories, advanced test laboratories and solar-specific technical training centers.

The company will set up local logistics hubs and storage infrastructure to strengthen the resilience of the supply chain. It also offers a larger scale from after-sales and R&M networks that enable long-term system performance and customer satisfaction.

Eric Lee, director of Sonnex Energie GmbH, Asia, said PV -Magazine That the company chose to set up a local production hub for strategic market access and regional expansion and also to enjoy cost competition capacity.

“The establishment of a production facility of 500 MW of the solar module in Bangladesh will strengthen the positioning of the company in Asia and contribute to the local economy and the global transition from clean energy,” Lee said.

Setting up local production and assembly factories will reduce import ratios, lower lower tariff and transport costs and stimulate the resilience of the Supply Chain, Ezaz said Al Qudat a Mazid, director of Solar EPC Development Ltd. He noted that the company wants to transform Bangladesh into a strategic hub for solar energy, not only for local consumption, but also for regional and global markets.
