Sunkind Energy has signed an agreement to use the firing and automation equipment of mountingware for 4 GW production capacity of solar module for coming production lines in India. The deal supports Sunkind Energy’s efforts to scale the output of the domestic module in the midst of growing demand and policy stimuli.
Sunkind Energy has signed an agreement with confirmation solutions from the PV to set up 4 GW production capacity of solar module in India.
Sunkind said it will use the Advanced Stringer and Automation Systems of Confirmable to develop technologically advanced production lines. The first product of the collaboration will be a 610 WP high-riding tunnel oxide-passivated contact (Topcon) module is used by M10 cells, intended for industrial and utility scale.
“We believe that production should be powered by technology, not just capacity,” said Hanish Gupta, founder and director of Sunkind Energy. “With this collaboration, we want to bring together the right processes, the latest machines and the brightest spirits to build solar modules that can drive India’s industrial growth for the long term. We not only add scale, but precision and adoption to our journey.”
Virpal Yadav, director and COO of Sunkind Energy, said that the company is building its production-backbone with a focus on long-term performance and reliability. He said that the partnership wants to ensure that the current systems remain relevant to the next phase of the solar growth of India, where artificial and human intelligence is combined to deliver precision and innovation in the production of PV module.
The 4 GW capacity will be developed in phases in the coming 24 months. Facilities will be spread over several regions in India to support localized production, faster market response and decentralized logistics. Each location is optimized for the efficiency of the supply chain and future scalability.
“Our engineering team has worked closely with Indian manufacturers to adjust production systems that meet both worldwide benchmarks and local requirements,” said Martin Ma, international sales director for confirmationware. “With Sunkind’s Strong Execution Track Record, we are convinced that this partnership will set new standards in the production of modules.”
Sunkind Energy, founded in 2019, will develop solar projects based on an engineering, purchasing and construction base. It has supplied more than 150 MW of projects in various Indian states and sectors and is expanding to the production of solar cells and modules, energy storage, EV infrastructure and tracker-based mounting structures.
