Concentrated Solar Thermal Power (CSP) Specialist Equally Renewable energy sources has completed the final prototyping of a “first-in-it-type” reception tower that forms the basis of its clean energy solution that combines solar energy generation with a sodium-based energy gathering system and a storage system and a storage system and a storage system With melted salt. The energy can be used as a shipping power or heat.

Fixed that the receipt tower, designed and manufactured in the production facility of the company in Goodna, in southeastern Queensland, is the final part of its CSP technology that must be built and tested on an operational scale.

The design of the receipt tower “will provide a more efficient, lower costs and lower risk -employable clean energy on request, which nowadays perform better than any solution on the market,” said the company, that will add its “modular and repeatable” design .

“The design also reduces energy losses and has limited moving parts to deliver reliable long -term performance,” said it.

Fixed that validation of the receipt tower marks the final technical milestone for his CSP solution, which uses several receiving towers surrounded by mirror fields known as heliostats to concentrate and catch warmth of the sun. The heat heat at high temperature is transferred via liquid sodium and stored in melted salt. The energy can be used as electricity or heat.

Sydney with a head office of the head office said that the technology will now be used on Utility scale VS1 project Developed near Port Augusta in South Australia.

The project has that secure support The Australian Renewable Energy Agency includes a 30 MW concentrated thermal solar power plant with more than eight hours of energy storage capacity. Once operational, the facility will supply energy in the National Raster and help to feed a co-located green methanol production facility.

It was certain that the progress with the receipt tower is an important step in the direction of financial closure for VS1 with a final decision on the investment expected in the coming months.

“This innovation in our receiver tower provides even greater performance from our solution for clean energy,” said Craig Wood, Craig Wood. “We are proud of the breakthroughs that we have achieved, and the enormous potential that our technology has a crucial role in the efforts of carbon arbonization.”

The company believes that CSP can play an important role in the energy transition of Australia, and says that the long-term energy storage capacity and the passable capacity of the technology must be a critical addition to intermittent solar PV and wind.

“Our projects are intended to generate the growth of a domestic CSP industry and at the same time create export opportunities to deliver Australian green technology to clean energy projects worldwide,” Wood said.
