EU launches partnerships to strengthen PV, advanced material, textile – PV Magazine International

The European Commission has set up three Horizon Europe partnerships to improve technological competence, industrial strength and environmentally friendly innovation, which can be channeled by almost € 1.1 billion ($ 1.19 billion) to photovoltaic, advanced materials and textile.

The European Commission has introduced three new European partnerships under Horizon Europe to strengthen the technological leadership, industrial resilience and sustainability of the continent. The initiatives will support PV, advanced material and textile, with a combined investment of almost € 1.1 billion from the European Union and the private sector by 2030.

Het Europees Partnership for Innovation in Photovoltaics is bedoeld om de PV -productiecapaciteit van Europa uit te breiden en een meer veerkrachtige supply chain op te bouwen, af te stemmen op de Europese Green Deal, RepowereU -plan en de richtlijn van de hernieuwbare energieverbruik van 2023. De Europese Unie en particuliere partners zullen elk van 2025 tot 2030 tot € 240 miljoen investeren om de positie van To strengthen Europe in the global solar market and to reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

The European Partnership for Innovative Advanced Materials will focus on developing advanced materials that improve industrial competitiveness and sustainability. The initiative aims to accelerate the industrial acceptance of safe and circular economy-friendly materials. The European Union and the private sector will each contribute to € 250 million by 2030.

The European partnership for textile of the future will stimulate sustainability and circularity in the textile industry, to support digital innovations and new business models. It is in line with the EU strategy for sustainable and circular textile and is intended to improve the strategic autonomy of Europe. The European Union And industrial partners are planning to invest each from 2025 to 2030 to € 30 million.

These partnerships, identified as priorities in the Horizon Europe Strategic Plan 2025-27, are expected to strengthen the competitiveness of the European Union and at the same time promote the efforts for sustainability and energy transition.

Earlier this week, the European Commission approved the Subsidies Grant Plan of Spain, which means that large-scale deployment is possible with a maximum of 85% co-financing. The initiative managed by Spain’s Miteco, supports independent storage, renewable projects and thermal factory integrations to strengthen energy infrastructure.
