The RETC has ‘released’2025 PV -Module -Index Report, “evaluation of the reliability, quality and performance of solar panels.

Solar modules are placed by various accelerated stress tests to evaluate these parameters. By comparing test results, stakeholders of the project can select products that are most suitable for a certain environment, location or portfolio.

“Differences in performance and reliability only become clear when we deliberately apply extra tensions with the aim of separating the wheat of the chaff,” said Cherif Kedir, Chief Executive Officer of RETC.

To identify the best of the best, RETC has assessed and ranked the general data distributions over three disciplines: quality, performance and reliability. Find the general top performers at the end of this report.

“In recent rounds of testing bankability, RETC has noticed an increase in problems with regard to moisture, thermal bicycles, due to potentially induced demolition and meta stand,” Kedir said. “We have observed PV module frame and glass errors during mechanical loads, cyclical loads and ballistic impact tests that can be proof of insufficient certification tests.”

Kedir noted that although in testing the new quality and sustainability problems, different performance performance has improved.

“Although some recent test results from bankability are alarming, these are also problems that the technical due diligence community has successfully eradicated or can solve with improved test standards. As long as we have eyes to see them, we can solve these problems,” Kedir said.
