Renewable energy supplier Two Blues Solar has completed more than 1.8 MWp of solar projects across three Scottish industrial sites.
The developer said the projects, delivered to Kanthal in Perth and Lossie Seafoods and Ennovi in Arbroath, represent a combined investment of approximately £1.64 million. The installations are expected to generate approximately 1.39 GWh of electricity annually.
Two Blues also retains ownership of the solar systems, while customers can purchase on-site electricity through power purchase agreements (PPAs) with terms of 15 to 25 years.
“Business electricity bills are increasingly determined by more than just wholesale prices,” says Rachel Stark, commercial director of Two Blues Solar.
“Non-commodity costs, including network, policy and regulatory costs, are expected to account for approximately 60% of the average business electricity bill by 2026, while wholesale markets remain exposed to geopolitical volatility. For industrial users, generating and using green electricity on-site can reduce dependence on imported grid power, deliver long-term cost savings and increase cost certainty.”
Kanthal’s Perth facility has received a 713.92 kWp rooftop solar system, which is expected to generate 546 MWh of electricity annually.
Meanwhile, Lossie Seafoods’ Arbroath site has received two rooftop solar systems with a combined output of 293.94 kWp. The installations are expected to generate 213MWh of electricity annually.
Ennovi’s Arbroath facility is equipped with an 818.09 kWp rooftop solar system. The installation is expected to generate 630MWh of electricity per year.
The projects were completed with installation partners Biosus Energy and Green Shield Group. Biosus Energy completed installations at Kanthal and Lossie Seafoods, while Green Shield Group installed the Ennovi system.
In September 2025, Two Blues completed the installation of four solar panels with a combined power of 298 kWp in British schools for education provider Outcomes First Group (OFG).
