Two of the three planned solar energy projects in Panola provinceMississippi, are now online. Clearloopa Silicon Ranch company, this week deployed the 6.6 MW Panola I Solar Farm and 6.6 MW Panola II Solar Farm in partnership with local utility Tallahatchie Valley Electric Power Association (TVEPA) and local economic development group Panola Partnership.

Clearloop’s approach to helping organizations reclaim their carbon footprint has brought together more than 30 companies of all sizes, including Microsoft, Vista Equity Partners, Chicory Wealth, Rivian, Oak View Group, Goodr and Grandma Mae’s Country Naturals to support the Panola I. and II Solar farms. The collective efforts of these organizations have driven decarbonization and economic growth in the province, and strengthened Clearloop’s commitment to maximizing the environmental, educational and economic benefits of climate dollars.

As is the case with all Clearloop projects, Panola’s solar projects have been developed and will be owned and operated by Silicon RanchClearloop’s parent company, for the entire 40-year life of the projects.

“Today is a monumental day for Panola County. Through our partnership with Clearloop and the support of countless organizations, we are able to bring locally sourced, reliable renewable energy to our community for the first time,” said Joe Azar, executive director of economic development for Panola County. “The Panola I and Panola II solar farms were strategically located to welcome new businesses to our community as these projects will serve as beacons of economic growth, demonstrating that our forward-thinking community is ready to meet the business demands of the modern economy . Panola County is pleased to reflect the significance of these solar projects in our official county logo.”
