Viessmann Canada, the Canadian unit of the Heating Specialist Viessmann Climate Solutions, which is part of Carrier Global Corporation, has launched new air-to-air heat pump systems for extreme climates.

The new heat pumps are claimed that it is ideal for retrofits or additives where adding channel work is duration or impractical, the manufacturer said in a statement, and noted that new products can be used with existing HVAC line sets, channels, air handlers or ovens .

“These systems can not only heat and cool any room with precision, but in most cases they do not require channel work that homeowners offer increased flexibility,” it also says.

The heat pumps use R-410A as a coolant and are available in three versions: the Vitocal 100-S Chanceless heat zone heat pump; The Vitocal 100-S guided solution for a single-zone heat pump that combines inverter technology and traditional HVAC; And the vitocal 200-s caneless multizone heat pump for multiple spaces.

The first of the three products has a size ranging from 6,000 BTU/H to 58,000 BTU/H. ‘Perfect for older houses, renovations or additives, these systems offer efficient heating and cooling, ”said Viessmann Canada. “Units with one zone make the simple combination of one interior unit per outdoor unit possible.”

These systems are equipped with a performance coefficient (COP) ranging from 1.80 by -15 C to 3.54 by 8.3 ° C, with Seasonal energy -Efficient ratio 2 (seer2) and heating season performance factor 2 (HSPF2) are 28.1 and 13.6 respectively.

The second product line combines inverter technology and traditional HVAC. It has a size of 18,000 BTU/H to 60,000 BTU/H and a COP ranging from 1.85 at -15 ° C to 3.50 by 8.3 ° C, with Seer2 and HSPF2 is 18.0 and 9.8 respectively.

“This solution is an ideal choice when upgrading the current HVAC system of your house, building a new house or adding an existing one,” the company said. “Whether you want to keep your oven for Dual-Fuel effect or convert to a fully electric heat pump system, the Vitocal 100-S led Single PUSP zone is adapting to your comfort requirements with the possibility to integrate with your existing HVAC system. “

As for the multiple zone system, it has a size of 18,000 BTU/H to 48,000 BTU/H and a heating business range from -30 C to 24 C. The Seer2 and HSPF2 are 26.0 and 11.3 respectively. “The Vitocal 200-S multiple sun-free-free system reduces energy costs to 60% and offers reliable performance,” the company said.

Of all models it is said that they offer “reliable” cooling and heating at temperatures that extend from -30 ° C to 50 C.
