India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has released the Almm for PV cells. The list contains six domestic manufacturers: FS India (First Solar’s India Arm), Jupiter, Emmvee, Mundra (Adani), Premier Energies and Renew. They have a combined annual production capacity of solar cells of 13 GW.

Mundra (Adani) has an approved cumulative capacity of 3.832 MW, including 1,939 MW bifacial monocrystalline silicon passivated emitter and rear contact (perc) and 1.893 MW Bififacial N-Tunneloxide oxide contact).

FS India has 3,212 MW, Premier Energies has 1,925 MW Bifacial Monocrystalline Silicon Perc, Emmvee has 1.553 MW from Bifacial N-Type Monocrytalline Silicon Percy Perc and Jupiter International has 779 MW PERC. Bifacial.

All projects that fall under ALMM with bidding data on or before 31 August 2025 must use Almm-Gente Solar Panels, but are exempt from the use of ALMM-Gente Cells, even if they are used after 1 June 2026.

Projects with bidding dates of bids after 31 August 2025, may only use ALMM-Genter modules and cells, regardless of the commissioning date, including those for 1 June 2026.
