UrbanPV has developed a wooden frame 46 kW parking design for ten parking spaces, including the Access Lane.
UrbanPV, based in Switzerland, has launched a PV solution for wooden frame for parking spaces.
Dubbeds Stedelijk, the system integrates solar panels with a wooden tax-bearing, broad-spension structure.
The PV system has a power of 48 kW and is integrated into a wood structure. It has an approval of 4.5 m and covers 10 parking spaces, or an area of 17 mx 12.5 m.
It uses 470 W Semi-transparent solar panels implemented in parallel Pitch-Dakarrays in an East-West configuration.
The building components, including structural tax-bearing wood, trusses and PV roof on solar energy, are prefabricated to be delivered at locations that are ready for mounting. It has a foundation element of the screw pile.
Maintenance and repairs are carried out with the same type of scissors or platform lifts that are used for window cleaning and roof maintenance.
“Larger designs can be ordered, as well as solutions that include optional LED lighting and EV charging equipment. The design is fully compatible with robot -like panel cleaning equipment,” UrbanPV founder, Arthur Buechel, said told PV -Magazine.
The combination of the Trusss design, a very low number of tax-bearing columns and the coverage of the parking lot with access courses means 60% more PV capacity and better weather protection than a typical arrangement that is limited to the coverage of the parking space, according to Buechel.
UrbanPV has projects ongoing in Germany and Switzerland, together with local carpentry companies for the construction of the Luifel. It is the wooden components of nearby manufacturers.
