Investment manager Triple Point has agreed a debt facility of £ 15 million with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) developer Noriker Power.
This marks the start of a new partnership between Triple Point and Noriker Power, both of which are important players at the British Bess market. The £ 15 million financing injection will be used to support Noriker Power’s advanced development pipeline, including the financing of important equipment for various from Noriker Power’s ready-made assets in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
Since the launch in 2015, Noriker Power has built and developed more than 350 MW of battery storage on batteries and hybrid energy facilities based on tools.
Dr. Marc Thomas, director of Noriker Power, called the debt facility “an important milestone” for the company and a “strong voice of trust” in the development of the Pipline company. He added: “The support of Triple Point enables us to quickly move on some of the most advanced battery storage projects in the VK and Ireland. These assets are vital to balance the grid and unlock more renewable energy.”
Jessica Fisher, investment director at Triple Point, stated that the company was proud to support Noriker Power in his mission, and added that the partnership “reflects [Triple Power’s] Commitment to the financing of the energy transition and the delivery of sustainable results for both communities and investors ”.
Triple Point in the UK
Triple Point has lately raised the British investment footprint, after being presented in development since the launch for more than 17.7 GW batteries and solar activa.
In September last year, Triple Point announced that it had agreed a big deal with Bess Developer Balance Power. The two companies agreed a debt facility of £ 5.1 million to support the growth of Balance Power in the British Solar PV and Bess markets.
Much of this debt facility was used by Balance Power to acquire the 6MWP Roborough project of Regener8 Power. The construction is ready to start with the Roborough project, located near Plymouth in southwestern England, and, once completed, the project will generate clean electricity for local energy-intensive companies. This marked the first time that the balance power had worked with a triple point.
Triple Point formed other major financial partnerships in 2024; In May, the company collaborated with Clean Energy Company Ethical Power in a £ 7 million debt facility to help ethical power to grow his presence on solar energy and BES in the UK.
