India launches 2 GW Solar, 4 GWH Storage Tender – PV Magazine International

Solar Energy Corp. Van India (SECI) has launched a tender for 2 GW capacity of solar generation combined with 4 GWH of energy storage, so that bidders must be installed on a minimum of 500 kW/2 MWh storage per Megawatt of solar energy.

SECI sends itself for 2 GW to grid solar projects with 1 GW/4 GWH of energy storage systems (ESS). The projects developed on a construction basis can be set up anywhere in India.

The developer must install ESS capacity of at least 500 kW/2 MWh for each 1 MW -Solar project capacity that has been contracted. The ESS component can be the property of the developer or be secured separately with a third party for the power supply.

SECI signs 25-year-old Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with the selected developers.
