The Swiss energy company with Group officially has the largest independent battery energy storage system (BESS) of Hungary in the Dunamenti power plant in Százhalombatta, located near Budapest, inaugurated. The new facility has a total capacity of 40 MW and a storage capacity of 80 MWh.

This project is considerably expanding the energy storage portfolio of with Group in Hungary. It agrees with a smaller 4 MW / 8 MWH demonstrator Bess, who uses Tesla Megapack 2 batteries and was installed at the same location in 2022. With Group, the majority owner of the old coal and gas factory in 2014 became a 75% majority property. Since the acquisition, the site has seen shifts to renewable energy sources, including Solar PV and batteries.
