Octopus’ Greg Jackson appointed to advise the British government

Greg Jackson, founder of the largest energy supplier of the United Kingdom of Octopus Energy, has been appointed as a non-executive member of the British Government Cabinet Office Board, where he will serve for three years.

The cabinet office consists of ministers of the cabinet, senior executives and non-versions of external government.

Non-versions are responsible for providing support and challenge to ministers and senior officials in providing important policy measures and programs.

Jackson has been a voice and voice of the loud energy industry. In his role in the cabinet office, Jackson will bring his expertise in the field of energy industry to give an external perspective on the government strategy. This will probably be aimed at quickly implementing technology to help improve services.

“Finding ways to improve services without a doubt, is the key to public services, economy and our society and if I have learned lessons about technology, delivery and organization that can be useful for the government, it is an honor to share it.”

Octopus fights for customers after Rema decision

The appointment of Jackson follows that of the government Decision to choose the interests of business investments and reject his preferred option, zonal prices.

In response to the government’s decision to implement reformed national prices as part of the assessment of electricity market schemes (REMA), Octopus Energy launched a national billboard campaign (with the message: ‘We continue to fight for you’) and called on the government to come up with a plan that corresponds to consumer rating.
