The company established in the UK said that the new hybrid solution includes a stand-alone monobloc air-water heat pump with a nominal capacity of a maximum of 16 kW and one of the boiler range. The heat pump system uses R32 (Difluoromethane) as a coolant and has a performance coefficient of up to 5.1.
The Heating Specialist Alpha, a unit of Italian Group Immergas, has launched a new residential heating solution that combines a heat pump and a boiler.
“The Alpha Custom Hybrid is a fully customized solution that is suitable for all types of houses, including those with high hot water needs,” the manufacturer said in a statement. “The adjusted hybrid combines a series of heat pump outputs with both combi and system boilers, all managed by a built-in smart control. This automatically chooses the most efficient heating source based on real-time demand reduction of carbon emissions and maximizing energy saving.”
The hybrid solution uses the one-phase MAGIS M-heat pump, a stand-alone monobloc heat pumps with reversible air-water-in-design technology. The system uses R32 (Difluoromethane) as a coolant and is available for the alpha adapted hybrid package in different versions with a nominal capacity ranging from a maximum of 16 kW.
The heat pump is said to be achieved a power temperature of a maximum of 65 ° C and a performance coefficient (COP) of a maximum of 5.1. The largest system of the series has a weight of up to 172 kg and dimensions of 605 mm x 290 mm x 245 mm. According to the company, it can work at external temperatures between -25 ° C to 43 ° C, whereby sound level is as low as 35 dB (A).
“With the included control panel it is easy to have units to work, so that a maximum of six heat pumps can work together to offer the required heat demand,” the company explained further. “The built -in operating system continuously monitors the temperature and performance of the system to maintain the required room temperatures, managing the heat sources to activate the boiler to offer extra heat as required.”
As far as the boiler is concerned, Alpha said that the package can include its E-TEC NX, NX Plus and call NX boilers. “By using a Magis M -heat pump as the primary heating source, the kit enables the boiler to offer extra heating capacity if the heat pump may not be sufficient to meet the demand, for example on particularly cold winter days,” it also said.
