The innovative project in a district in the suburbs in the south of Shanghai will integrate five different energy storage technologies, including sodium batteries. The first phase will have a cumulative capacity of 40 MW/160 MWh.

An energy storage project that integrates five different technologies takes shape in a district in the suburbs in southern Shanghai, China. Once delivered, the Fengxian Xinghuo will have extensive new new energy storage technology Route Test Demonstration Base (phase I) 40 MW/160 MWh and spread over about two hectares.

The project will 10 MW/40 MWH Lithium-ionbatteries, 10 MW/40 MWH zinc-IJzer Redox-Flowbatteries, 10 MW/40 MWH all-Vananadium Redox Flowbatteries, 5 MW/20 MWH of sodium-ion batteries and 5 MWh SHWII and 5 MWHii and 5 Semi-solid status batteries and 5 MWH Semi-Solid status batteries and 5 MWh Semi-Solid State batteries.
