S-5! unveils new solar support for T-shaped metal roofs

S-5!a manufacturer of metal roof fasteners, has introduced its new S-5-TH clamp for attaching certain roof accessories, including solar, to T-shaped metal roof profiles.

S-5-TH clamp. S-5!

The S-5-TH, where “H” stands for “hinge,” is a non-penetrating clamp specifically designed for solar PV and lighter attachments – such as pipes and conduits – on commercial T-shaped metal roofs, including the McElroy Metal Trap Tee and Morin SymmeTry.

S-5-TH is designed to ensure a reliable connection while maintaining the integrity of the roof system. The one-piece design of the holder snaps over the roof rib and allows thermal cycling of the roof panels. The no-penetration clamp design eliminates the risk of leakage and leaves the roof manufacturer’s warranty intact.

S-5-TH has a warranty for the life of the roof. It can be combined with the PVKIT railless solar mounting from S-5!, as well as rail-based systems. The holder is constructed from 6000 series aluminum for durability and corrosion resistance.

“We are excited to introduce our new clamp designed specifically for T-shaped metal roofs,” said Rob Haddock, CEO and founder of S-5! “At S-5! we focus on creating solutions that solve real problems and make our customers’ jobs easier. This clamp is a simple, effective solution to a common need we’ve seen in the field.”
