Slovenia assigns € 20 million for renewable electricity, Heat – PV Magazine International

The Slovenian electricity market manager has shared details of an upcoming fund of € 20 million ($ 20.9 million) that will support the installation of heat pumps and thermal collectors for solar energy, in addition to other renewable energy devices. Applications for the subsidy will be opened on March 18, 2025.

SloveniaThe state-owned property market manager Borzen has announced subsidies for the installation of new electricity and heat production facilities from renewable energy sources.

The direct subsidy package of € 20 million ($ 20.9 million) will cover the installation of heat pumps and thermal collectors for solar energy, as well as wind farms, wood biomas and storage tanks attached to new production facilities.

Available Fund data Indicate that heat pumps and thermal collectors with solar energy with an installed thermal output larger than 50 kW and equal than 10 MW, which produce heat from renewable energy sources, are eligible.

Financing is only available for new installations. The expansion of an existing production facility and an increase in the capacity of a production facility are both excluded from financing in the available details.

Companies, cooperatives, private individuals and self -management local communities are all invited to register for the subsidy scheme. Applications will be opened on March 18, 2025, via the online platform of Borzen.

Earlier this month, PV -Magazine Reported Slovenia added 298.8 MW solar energy in 2024.

In January, the Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development of the country launched a program of € 16 million ($ 16.6 million) to support Solar energy communities With projects of at least 100 kW.
