Vanadium Redox Flow Energy Storage Manufacturer Prolux Solutions said that 50 L Vanadium electrolyte leaked from a residential unit in Arbon, but no fire occurred.

The police in the Swiss canton Thurgau On Sunday, a “fire and chemical rescue operation in an apartment building” reported in Arbon, involving a vanadium leak.

The police were warned shortly after 7.30 am because of smoke in the basement of the building. The police showed the first investigation: “About 500 L Vanadium (electric liquid) leaked from the photovoltaic system in the basement.”

The police refused to answer PV -MagazineThe questions about whether a Zonne -Array or Vanadium Redox -Flow -Energy storage unit had been on fire, referring to an ongoing study.

Prolux Solutions, which produced the storage unit of the Vanadium energy storage on the site, said PV -Magazine There were no fire and firefighters who arrived at 7.45 am, did not have to extinguish anything, nor was there any heat as proof.
