In Sweden, 14 large-scale battery storage systems (BESS) have come online to deploy 211 MW / 211 MWh in the region.

Developer and optimizer Ingrid Capacity and energy storage owner-operator BW ESS have collaborated to deliver 14 large-scale BESS projects across the Swedish electricity grid, located in the electricity price areas SE3 and SE4.

The connection to the electricity grid was at the time supervised by the Swedish Minister of Climate and Environment Romina Pourmokhtari. Among her remarks at the ceremony, Pourmokhtari said:

“It is a great honor to inaugurate the largest investment in energy storage in Scandinavia, with 211 MW now connected to the grid.
