US President Donald Trump has issued an executive order that a series of actions can be canceled by the Biden administration. The order included the removal of solar modules, solar modules components, insulation, electrolyzes, fuel cells and electric heat pumps from Section 303 of the Defense Production Act (DPA).

In 2022, Biden called on the DPA To support the production and deployment of the aforementioned technologies. Pulping the law included a $ 500 million -owned by the inflation reduction law, to finance the production of American clean energy, including solar panels and heat pumps.

Trump’s executive order said that the dissolution of solar and other energy efficiency and electrification technologies from the DPA status, including actions, are necessary to promote the United States policy to restore common sense to the federal government and to unleash the potential of American citizens. “

The DPA enabled the Ministry of Energy (Doe) and other federal agencies to invest in facilities and projects of clean energy.

“With the new DPA authority, DIY can help strengthen the domestic solar, heat pump and grid industry, while the economic security of America is strengthening and creating well-paid jobs, and on the way reduce the costs of utility facilities,” said the American secretary of Energy Jennifer M. GRANOLM.
