The US Department of Commerce (DoC) has announced provisional anti-dumping duties on imports of crystalline solar cells from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

Rates have been set from 21.31% to 271.28%, varying per company and country. A full list of provisional tariffs can be found on the International Trade Administration (ITA) website. website.

The preliminary rulings are the second set announced in a trade lawsuit filed earlier this year by the American Alliance for Solar Manufacturing Trade Committee over concerns that imported solar cells from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam are hurting the U.S. domestic solar market.

In early October, the DoC announced a provisional decision on countervailing duties (CVD) for solar cells and modules imported from the four countries, with rates ranging from 0.14% to 292.61% depending on the company and country.

According to details on the ITA website, final decisions on anti-dumping duties will be made on April 18, 2025, with the US International Trade Commission expected to finalize decisions on June 2, 2025, prior to issuing orders each week. later.
